Olympic Celebration Giveaway

I'm feeling the generosity of the Olympic spirit. And stealing an idea from one of the Barbour editors at The Edit Cafe -- she's giving away three sets of books. Be sure to click through and leave a comment there for a chance to win one of the three sets.

So in addition to the That's (not exactly) Amore giveaway -- you know you need to comment there, too.

Abigail with our cat Midnight

So tonight, I'm opening a new contest. Leave a comment about what your favorite Olympic event is. For every ten comments (from different folks) I'll give away one of my books. And for every ten new subscribers to my blog, I'll give away another book. So here's your chance to try a book you haven't read -- all while we celebrate. Go USA!!!

And enjoy these great pixs of my kids.

Jonathan graduated from preschool last Friday. He's so cute!

And then Rebecca is growing so much. She's really cooing and getting close to belly laughs. But her smiles are amazing! Priceless.

  2. My favorite of the Summer Olympics is the gymnastics. Watching right now - waiting for the Women's all around final! I just love watching the Olympics and seeing some live their dreams. It's all so romantic - sigh.

Your baby girl is super cute by the way. I miss those days (my youngest is 8 now).

Watching our gymnastics team win gold and silver as I type!

But this year, my favorite is men's swimming. Michael Phelps blows me away. What a gift!

  6. I love the diving competitions. How they enter the water with nary a splash is beyond me. I wish we had satellite or cable because I'd love to watch Equestrian! And of course, whatever Phelps is doing we're all glued to the tv.

  8. Gymnastics, of course!

But swimming this year is fabulous entertainment... I thought I was going to go into labor when the men won that relay against the French. By the last 15 meters, I was standing on my couch ala Tom Cruise. LOL

    Go USA!

  9. I am so excited about the 1-2 punch in gymnastics, though the scores were killing me in the early rounds. Nastia and Shawn are just amazing! Though swimming is a close second. Michael Phelps has had an amazing run so far -- two more to go! But the other swimmers are pretty amazing too. Keep the comments coming :-)

  16. Having picked up the hobby of running half-marathons the last year my favorite would be the marathon. Knowing how much it takes to train for 13 miles makes me realize what an accomplishment 26 is. spowell01(at)bellsouth(dot)net
And who couldn't get into to watching Phelps win gold after gold.
