Ohio Brides is arriving in people's mailboxes and on Wal-Mart's shelves. Yes, I jumped up and down when I saw it coverout on the shelf half a mile from my house! I can't wait to read Ohio Brides! I've always been fascinated with the 1940's and I'm intrigued to get to know the characters in this book.

ReplyDeleteAhhhh! My mother was a WAVE in 1943 when she married my dad. She was honorably discharged in 1944 when she got pregnant with my brother. The two of them lived in Cincinnati with my grandparents while my dad was in post-war occupied China. Can't wait to read how you dealt with this era, Cara!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the release of Ohio Brides, Cara! I want to read it, but Barbour doesn't seem to make their novellas available for Kindle yet. If you have any influence with Barbour, please let them know that they are missing many sales by only publishing them in trade paperbacks.

ReplyDeleteThe video reminded me of watching a documentary of how we broke the enigma code. FASCINATING!!! I'm thinking it was done by Walter Cronkite, but not sure. My hubby loves that stuff, but didn't have anything to record it on at the time.
