Exciting News! I'll be Seeing You at Christmas

I am beyond thrilled to announce that Tricia Goyer, Sarah Sundin and I are coming together to write a Christmas novella collection tentatively titled I'll be Seeing Christmas. It's part of B&H's new World War II fiction line that launches in 2014. The book I turned in February 1st, Shadowed by Grace, launches the line next February.

Tricia and Sarah are two of my favorite writing friends...and write great World War II novels. Brainstorming this collection was such fun, I can't wait to write them. And the best part? The first two are set in Lafayette, Indiana: a place I know a little something about.

Here's more on the collection:

Three siblings experience World War II through the lens of varied experience. In a time when the future is uncertain and romance a risky venture, the love and wisdom of their grandmother centers them as they search for love and deeper faith.

White Christmas by Cara C. Putman. Christmas of 1942: Jackson Lucas carries guilt over his father’s death like a stowaway in his heart. And now he can’t even take care of his widowed mother. Abigail’s lot is no better. She lost her siblings at a young age, and now she protects the fragile pieces of her heart like a hand shielding a snow globe. But as Christmas draws near, can each one face their deepest fear and discover the gift of love?

I'll Be Home For Christmas by Sarah Sundin. Christmas of 1943: Fighter pilot Lt. Pete Turner is running on empty, but coming home for Christmas doesn’t help. When Grace Kessler’s little daughter decides Pete is her new daddy, Grace is horrified. How can she trust her childhood bully? And will Pete’s Christmas gift fill the empty places in their hearts?

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Tricia Goyer. Christmas of 1944: Combat nurse Meredith Turner has a conflicted heart—how can she still love and think about the man who not only betrayed her but also her country when he fled the United States to fight for the Nazis? As Christmas nears, which is also Meredith's birthday, small gifts are left for her around the field hospital. They bring her great joy until they start getting personal...the lyrics to her favorite song, a sketch of her favorite flower, special memories. Who would know these things? Only one man knew her better than anyone, yet he's long gone...isn't he?
