A Wedding Transpires on Mackinac Island Arrives!!!!

Friday my author copies of A Wedding Transpires on Mackinac Island arrived! I love this story. The heroine is an attorney who's forced to return home to  help her family. In the process she's confronted with the past and a mystery. Then an old family friend is murdered. Add her first love who lives next door...and her life is complicated.

Last night I was pinning some information on Mackinac Island to my board on Pinterest. It felt almost nostalgic to return to the blogs, maps, and hotels we've stayed at. I can't wait to return later this summer for a booksigning.

My kids are excited because they love everything about the island. They love the salt water taffy and fudge. They enjoy Fort Mackinac. And we love biking around the island. It's such a peaceful place with the clop of horses' hooves and sound of bikes zipping along the road.

It's been a few months since we've been there!

Where is a place that you and your family like to visit?

Great post and loved the pic!

One of my favorite vacations was when we went to Mackinac Island. We actually walked the Island! It was beautiful but we were oh so tired. I would love to go back again some day.

Your book is on my wish list!! Congrats!

Cara, I can't wait to read your book. Mackinac Island is my favorite place to go. I live in Michigan so I have gone many times in my life. But as an adult I have gone with my husband and last fall we rode our bikes around the island. Just last night he asked me when we wanted to go next fall. I can't wait.

Our next goal is to go in the winter and ride snowmobiles across the ice bridge-if one forms. I don't think it happened this year. It has been pretty mild here in Michigan.

Judy, walking the Island would be grand! There are so many places I want to stop and explore. Maybe when the kids are older! And Melissa, it's one of those rare places that the kids want to return to. I'd love to see it in the winter, too!

Can't wait to read your new book! It's exciting!
Our favorite family spot is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We visit every other year early in the summer. The views are breathtaking and the hospitality of the southerners is refreshing! Definately a great break from the Maryland hustle and bustle.
Also, there is so much regard for God in the small busniesses of the Tennessee towns.

We've driven past Gatlinburg, but never stopped. Soon I hope!

Door County, WI ~*~ special memories of exploring; loved Cana Island and the antique stores to amble through.

Would like to read your book, Cara! Thank you for your post.
