Fighting Fatigue

Tonight (Tuesday) I'm tired. I can tell I'm 31+ weeks pregnant and still maintaining a full life. Edits are going great! Yeah!!! The FBI Academy was another fascinating look behind the scenes. Yeah! But I'm wiped out.

Can you tell with this goofy photo I took Monday?

It doesn't matter. The light at the end of this tunnel comes next Wednesday when I may hit send on my edits and lounge in my pajamas for a week -- just kidding, but I'll make sure I take the time to relax and step away for a day or two. I'll read a good book or watch a great movie. Spend extra time in the Bible. And rest for a bit.

Until then, my obligations continue. And trust me it's a good thing. Really. I'm so grateful that I have edits and deadlines and opportunities like the FBI Citizen's Academy. You should see the story ideas flying through my mind.

But today's post is really a question for you. When you get worn down by the pace of life, what do you do to rejuvenate?

Wow, Cara!! Congratulations!! Some how I missed that you are expecting!!!! yeah!!!!

What do I do when I am worn down?? SLEEP! It is the only thing that really helps me but it is hard to get that in when things are CRAZY!! I really try hard to keep sleep a top priority... even if I just sneak in a 20 minute power nap it really helps!

I agree with Heather above. I've been so worn out lately I hit the bed at 8:30 last night and almost got 12 hours of sleep in. I really think that's what my body needed. So listen to yours, Cara! Missed being at ACFW, but there's always next year, right?

I wish I could do twenty minute naps. I've heard they're wonderful, but my body doens't work that way. Very frustrating :-)

Hmm, I been thinking about you a lot lately, now I know why! Continueing to pray. :)

What do I do? If I can, I take a step back. Try to put some distance between me and the project, if not I pray. Because it seems when I don't have anything left to give, God gives me what I need. He will for you too!!

And, don't know if you want to share, but do you know what you are having yet?? Just *dying* to know. *grin*

It's a little boy :-) Daniel Reagan more than likely.

Wow, that's a lot on your plate with being 31 weeks along. What helps me in general is taking "mini vacations with God." And when I was pregnant those "mini-meals" helped, too.

Ohhh! I love that name! Thought I must admit I was hoping for a girl so I could send you a Mamma and Me bracelet set. Booties will have to do instead! ;) When is your due date?

That is such a sweet name...
